The ideal dosage of Amoxiclav for children weighing over 40 kgs, is 500 mg of Amoxicillin and 125 mg of Potassium Clavulanate per kilogram of body weight. For children weighing less than 40 kgs, no more than 60 mg of Amoxicillin and 15 mg of Potassium Clavulanate are recommended per kilogram of body weight. This dosage can be safely repeated upto thrice a day. A pediatrician’s opinion is mandatory before giving Amoxiclav to children.

Side Effects Of Co-Amoxiclav

Like every pharmaceutical drug, wrong consumption of Amoxiclav can also cause side effects. This may occur due to taking extra dosage of the Amoxiclav, or taking it when it is not indicated.
